Holy Week is the heart of the Christian year. In these short days, we walk together through the greatest mysteries of our faith: the love of God poured out at the Last Supper, the humility of Christ who washed the feet of his disciples, the sorrow and tragedy of the Cross, and finally the joy of the Resurrection of our Lord. These are not just celebrations of events that happened millennia ago. They are the way the Church embodies salvation through Christ in the present. In Holy Week, we remember that the story of Jesus’ victory over death has become our story: we suffer with Christ, we find hope in Christ, and we are redeemed through Christ.

I want to invite you to join your parish family at Holy Apostles for each and every service of Holy Week. Whether you have observed Holy Week faithfully for many years or will experience these liturgies for the first time, they are sure to draw us all closer to the heart of Christ.
