This Week’s Announcements

This Sunday, April 9th, is Palm Sunday. 10:00 a.m. Eucharist Service. Gather on lawn for blessing of palms followed by procession. No Sunday School but childcare is available.

HOLY WEEK AND EASTER SERVICES

  • April 13th, Maundy Thursday at  6:30 p.m. Enjoy an Agape Meal and foot washing before Eucharist. Please let us know if you will be there – Sign-up sheet on bulletin board in parish hall 
  • April 13th, Maundy Thursday at 7.30 p.m. Eucharist & service with choir  followed by Vigil-keeping  for anyone who wishes to pray in the church until noon on Friday.
  • April 14th, Good Friday  7:00 p.m. Service.  If you are interested in reading a part of the Passion Narrative please sign-up sheet on bulletin board in parish hall
  • April 16th EASTER SUNDAY: CELEBRATION OF THE RESURRECTION  10:00 A.M. Eucharist Service  followed by a Festive Coffee and Children’s Egg Hunt [Childcare is available for youngest children]
Easter Flower Memorials: On Easter we fill the church with flowers in celebration of the resurrection and also in memory of those we love who have died. If you would like to have flowers dedicated to the memory of deceased loved ones, please notify the church office by Maundy Thursday, April 13th. Suggested donation is $5.00 per name. A list of names will be included in the Easter service bulletin.

  • Second Sunday “Pizza Church” returns in June. Stay tuned.
  • Young working single mother of 2 needs crib, kitchen table/chairs, and dressers. Contact Rev. Doris at sharada2000@verizon.net or (610) 348-9226.
  • Bible Study and Discussion Group continues on Wednesdays 7-8 pm beginning April 26th – May 31st. Come enjoy reading the gospel, learning and discussing together. Place: Memorial Room.

CHA RUMMAGE SALE!  Saturday, April 22nd  8am—2pm:

We are looking for the following: furniture, small working appliances, hand and garden tools, kitchenware, new linens, vinyl records, collectibles, jewelry, handbags, toys, books, games, Christmas décor, formal wear for both men and women. Needed: Volunteers to be cashiers and help on floor day of sale. Volunteers for bake sale and set up. Bring your “treasures” starting April 1st. There will be labeled bins available. Call Tim for information regarding pick up options. Our goal is to exceed last year’s sale total. I know we can do it if we all work together!!

DINING OUT FOR LIFE: Dine Out, Fight AIDS  April 20th 6:30 p.m.

Annual fundraiser for AIDS service organizations. 33% of each check is donated to Action Wellness. Dinner will be held at Nais Thai in Havertown. A sign-up list is posted on the bulletin board in the parish hall.
