Today, December 4th, we will enjoy a festive coffee hour with a visit from St. Nicholas!
Have you returned your parish survey to the Discernment Committee yet? If not, please do so ASAP. The deadline for response is December 10th, and we need everyone’s voice! If you need another electronic or paper copy of the survey, please contact Judi Kraft, David Lees, Jamie Grant, or the church office.
Meals for Lois Mather. Please click this link to sign-up to bring meals to Lois Mather. One sign up per week on Wednesdays is requested. Should you need more information, or if you would like to help but don’t have email, please call or leave a message with the office. Bonnie will then add your name to the online sheet.
Sunday School Parents! Some important dates to keep in mind: December 17th: Saturday morning practice, 10:00 a.m.; December 18th: Pageant. We will practice during Sunday School, so please plan to have your child attend service the weeks up to the Pageant.
More for the children. We have decided to forego Church & Pizza on December 11th. Church & Pizza will return on January 8th. Our young families are invited to participate in the All Ages Caroling Event scheduled for December 16th. Details to follow.
Advent Bible Study. 8:45 a.m.—an informal Bible Study (with coffee!) in the Rector’s Office. Come try the spiritual practice of studying scripture. Led by Pastor Barbara. No previous biblical study necessary! No homework! Just bring your Bible.
Pancakes with Santa –next Sunday, December 10, 7:30 – 11 a.m. Adults $6, Children $4 (children 2 and under FREE). Bring your camera! To volunteer to help, please sign up on the bulletin board sign-up sheet.

Christmas Flower Memorials. For those who receive the newsletter via the U.S. Postal service, there is enclosed with December’s issue an envelope which you can use to remember your loved ones at Christmastime this year. To ensure inclusion in the Christmas Bulletins, please fill in the name(s) of your loved ones on the front of the envelope, enclose your donation, and return them to the church no later than Friday, December 16th. You may place the envelopes in the collection plate along with your Sunday offering, or you may mail them to the church office.
For those who receive the newsletter via email, Christmas Flower Memorial envelopes may be found on the table outside the rector’s office. Please take one on Sunday and submit your loved ones’ names to the office; or, you may email the names and send a check in separately to the Attention of Jane Sibley, Altar Guild.
Either way, all names must be received no later than Friday, December 16th to ensure inclusion in the Christmas Bulletins.
Fundraising Opportunities. 1) AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to Holy Apostles. Search Amazon Smile on our website and click the “Get started” button to enroll. 2) See J.T. Wertz to purchase Giant Gift Cards in $100 denominations. Holy Apostles receives 5% of the proceeds from the sale of these gift cards. The Giant cards may also be used for gas at the Havertown Giant and points accumulate from any Giant for cents off per gallon.
Newsletter Publishing Deadline—All newsletter articles must be to the office by the 25th of the month for publication of the next month’s issue.
Lost & Found – A basket with lost and found items is located outside the rector’s office. Please check to see if anything belongs to you.
